I am a first grade teacher with 49 years of experience in grades 1-8.
I was born in Pennsylvania to a career Army officer and grew up in
Germany, Texas, Georgia, Virginia, Japan, and Maryland. I came to
Milledgeville in 1965 and attended Women’s College of Georgia (now Georgia
College), receiving my Bachelor of Science degree in 1965 and a Master’s degree in 1977. I taught in the Baldwin County school system for 31 years, receiving The Baldwin County Teacher of the Year Award in 1995. In 2015, I was the JM Star Teacher. I am in my 19th year at John Milledge Academy and have been excited to have the children of my former students.
I have been married to my husband, Bob, for 49 years, have 2 grown
children (Erin and Ben), a daughter-in-law, Anna, and one grandson, Noah (College Student). I am a member of the First Presbyterian Church where I have been a deacon and am currently an elder and Sunday School teacher. I enjoy walking, reading, and traveling.
